Deep South Carriage, Inc. is by no means the most expensive but we can't always promise to be the cheapest either. But if what you want is a truly professional experience, Deep South Carriage, Inc. can provide that for you.

Wedding Basic Package: Deep South Carriage, Inc. will provide a horse and carriage and a driver and footman(both dressed in appropriate attire) for the  wedding ceremony, pictures and traveling to the reception(up to 1 1/2 miles on side streets),  as determined by the contract, if the wedding event goes longer than the contracted time or for special requests like rides for the children or guests during the reception you will be charged the overtime rate.
Please note: The basic wedding package is for a typical wedding which requires service from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. But, if something goes wrong on the day of your wedding as to timing, we allow a grace period of up to an hour beyond the contracted time, up to a maximum of three hours of total service time, before you will incur any overtime charges. For a non-basic wedding package please call us for a quote. 

Wedding Basic Package Rate:(Under 100 miles) For the first carriage we charge $350.00 base rate, plus mileage . For a second carriage at the same event we charge $325.00 base rate. For overtime we charge $100.00 per hour.

Wedding Basic Package Rate:(100 to 200 miles) For the first carriage we charge $400.00 base rate, plus mileage . For a second carriage at the same event we charge $375.00 base rate. For overtime we charge $100.00 per hour.

Wedding Basic Package Rate:(Over 200 miles) For the first carriage we charge $450.00 base rate, plus mileage . For a second carriage at the same event we charge $425.00 base rate. For overtime we charge $100.00 per hour.
 
Special Event Rate:(Under 100 miles) We charge $350.00 base rate, plus mileage,  which includes two hours of service and $100.00 per hour thereafter.  For multiple carriages or days please call for a quote.

Special Event Rate:(100 to 200 miles) We charge $400.00 base rate, plus mileage, which includes two hours of service and $100.00 per hour thereafter.  For multiple carriages or days please call for a quote.

Special Event Rate:(over 200 miles) We charge $450.00 base rate, plus mileage, which includes two hours of service and $100.00 per hour thereafter.  For multiple carriages or days please call for a quote.


Mileage Fee is $1.90 per mile charged one way up to 100 miles to the event with a minimum fee of $50.00 and $1.65 per mile charged one way to the event for events beyond 100 miles from 1090 Riley Road, Vicksburg MS 39183. In the event diesel prices goes above $4.00 per gallon Deep South Carriage, Inc. reserves the right to add a fuel adjustment charge. Additional Charges may apply for extra footman, flowers etc. Your florist is always welcome to work with Deep South Carriage, Inc. to decorate the Carriage of your choice.
There is no additional charge for you, your friends, your staff etc. to decorate the carriage immediately before the event.

Additional services beyond the basic wedding package such as distances beyond the 1 1/2 miles in the carriage and traveling on main streets or highways, or rides for guests, etc., are additional costs and are at the discretion of Deep South Carriage,Inc.

Please be advised under no circumstances will we work any single horse more than 6 total hours in any 24 hour period.  Each horse at a minimum will be given a rest period every three hours or as needed, to be determined by Deep South Carriage, Inc.

Cancellation Policy:
Due to limited availability a 50% deposit is required to reserve the date. A full refund will be available 60 days before the event. 50% of the deposit will be refunded up to 30 days before the event, after that the deposit will be non refundable. If your event is canceled because of circumstances beyond your control you may apply the deposit to another event or your full deposit may be refunded, at the option of Deep South Carriage, Inc.. In the event Deep South Carriage, Inc. and the client determines, before Deep South Carriage, Inc. leaves Vicksburg, severe weather(all carriages have tops to protect passengers from sun or light rain) makes it unreasonable for Deep South Carriage, Inc. to provide services, all monies will be refunded. In the event that Deep South Carriage determines severe weather or any hazardous conditions for the horses, drivers or footman make it unreasonable to provide services after arriving at the event, the deposit is non-refundable. Deep South reserves the right to cancel an event in the event of illness or injury of a horse, accidents or mechanical failures. In the event Deep South Carriage, Inc. cancels an event all monies paid to Deep South Carriage, Inc. by client shall be refunded, plus an additional $25.00 dollars as liquidated damages.  All parties, individually and through their agents,  agree and understand that this web page is referenced by the client information/contract sheet and is made a part of said contract by reference and further all parties individually and through their agents understand and agree to all terms set forth on this web page and the client information/contract sheet.
