This just isn't a business to us, it is something we love to do. Deep South Carriage is now one of the only horse carriage companies in the Central Mississippi Northern Louisiana area. But, we still strive to keep our prices reasonable. Our prices are much less than most other horse carriage operators in other parts of the country.
Many times people call and say they just need us for 30 minutes, but for us to provide that 30 minutes, might mean a 10 to 12 hour day for us to prepare, travel, perform and go home.
Wedding Package: For us to give you a price we need to know what you need. We will discuss and plan your event with you. Once, we know what you need we can then give you a firm price. We do not charge by the hour but by the event. We charge by the event because we don't want you to have to worry about our service clock running, you have enough to worry about on your wedding day. We will ask you though, that once we set a service time frame, you stick to that time. Any services past that time will incur overtime charges. We know things do go wrong that are outside of your control (Minister is late, Photographer is late, someone in the wedding party has car problems, the bride has a problem with her dress, etc.) and we will not penalize you for that. An example of when we would charge overtime is, a bride once told us the wedding began at 2:00 p.m. but really started at 5:00 p.m. because she was afraid we would be late. We normally arrive no less than two hours before the event, to make sure we have plenty of time to get ready for the event.
Weddings and Special Events: Please call for availability and a price quote. The cost of Weddings range from $500.00 and up depending on how far the event is from Vicksburg, how far we need to travel with the carriage to the reception, etc. The reason it might cost more to travel further with the carriage is, because we might need to bring an additional person to drive the truck and trailer to the reception area so the horse doesn't have to make the return trip back to the wedding venue.
Additional Charges In the event diesel price goes above $4.25 per gallon Deep South Carriage, Inc. reserves the right to add a fuel adjustment charge.
Please be advised under no circumstances will we work any single horse more than 4 total hours in any 24 hour period or in hazardous conditions.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to limited availability a 50% deposit is required to reserve the date. A full refund will be available 60 days before the event. 50% of the deposit will be refunded up to 30 days before the event, after that the deposit will be non refundable. If your event is canceled because of circumstances beyond your control you may apply the deposit to another event or your full deposit may be refunded, at the option of Deep South Carriage, Inc.. In the event Deep South Carriage, Inc. and the client determines, before Deep South Carriage, Inc. leaves Vicksburg, severe weather (all carriages have tops to protect passengers from sun or light rain) makes it unreasonable for Deep South Carriage, Inc. to provide services, all monies will be refunded. In the event that Deep South Carriage determines severe weather or any hazardous conditions for the horses, drivers or footman make it unreasonable to provide services after arriving at the event, the deposit is non-refundable. Deep South reserves the right to cancel an event in the event of illness or injury of a horse, accidents or mechanical failures. In the event Deep South Carriage, Inc. cancels an event all monies paid to Deep South Carriage, Inc. by client shall be refunded, plus an additional $25.00 dollars as liquidated damages. All parties, individually and through their agents, agree and understand that this web page is referenced by the client information/contract sheet and is made a part of said contract by reference and further all parties individually and through their agents understand and agree to all terms set forth on this web page and the client information/contract sheet.
